How goes the travelling volunteer?

Using world travel as a basic framework for volunteering is a noble pursuit, maybe, but it’s not necessarily as easy as it sounds. It’s a challenge to find work-for-nothing jobs, and that is very frustrating. However, being persistent usually pays off and sometimes all we need, often found between the covers of a great book, is a little inspiration.
